Vanderpump Rules find that fans are looking forward to an engagement this season after controversial D.J., James Kennedy confessed his intentions to his boss, Lisa Vanderpump.
James was a guest of Lisa’s for her reality series “Overserved”. The show chronicles a different themed dinner party each week, hosted by Lisa at her fabulous Villa Rosa mansion and attended by two ‘celebrity’ guests of honor (and usually Lisa’s husband Ken Todd and their daughter Pandora Todd).
Last week Lisa hosted brash Australian comedian Jim Jeffries and her employee, James Kennedy who rose to fame as the trouble making, often fired (for a hot minute or two) British D.J. with a drinking problem in Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules.
Vanderpump Rules: Will we see D.J. James Kennedy propose this season?
James is now coming up to two years sober and has never felt better about himself and his relationships, especially with current girlfriend (and fellow Sur employee and Vanderpump Rules co-star) Raquel Leviss. As Lisa reminded James, “You won’t find anyone else that’s more on your side than that girl.”
The young, attractive couple have been together for years and Raquel was instrumental in helping James find his sobriety. So, when talk at the dinner table turned to weddings, then proposals, Lisa asked James what his intentions were with Raquel.
“Well, can you keep a secret? I love Raquel so much, you know that. She really has helped me, and you’ve seen everything she’s stuck by me with. I really couldn’t imagine myself with anyone else on this planet. There’s no ‘buts’ — I think I’m going to ask her to marry me.”
“That will be the best decision you’ve ever made,” Lisa told the 29-year-old, whom she sees more as a son than an employee.
She then made James practice the proposal “…because you get so many things wrong.”
It was a good thing he rehearsed as his first try was underwhelming. Now fans are wondering if they are going to see the real deal.
Overserved was filmed in late 2020/early 2021 and the episode where James let the cat out of the bag was aired the same week production began on Vanderpump Rules season nine. It is highly likely Raquel watched her boyfriend’s episode, so is the surprise ruined? Are the pair already engaged? Will it be a non-surprise proposal?
Fans are dying to know…and looking for an engagement ring in Raquel’s social media photos. If she is engaged to James already, she is keeping it under wraps better than James did!
Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump airs at 10pm ET, Thursdays on Bravo.
