Christmas is the busiest time of the year for many businesses and cookies and cakes are in high demand this time of year. Buddy knows just how that goes and he is fully staffed at the bakery during Christmas time. He said that the bakery has so many orders that they can barely keep up. He made a comparison to Santa’s workshop and his bakery! After looking at how much work they do, we can see just what he means!

All day, he has people working on different pastries. Some work on the snowman cupcakes, while others will work on the cookie trays. The cookie trays are a huge seller during this time. They make around 15,000 cookies the entire week of Christmas, so if anything goes wrong, it could be really bad for the bakery. On this last episode, we saw a string breaking on one of the cookie cutters. Luckily, Buddy knows how to fix it and he was very successful at it!

During the week of Christmas, Carlo’s Bakery gets in double, sometimes triple, the ingredients that they need to make cookies and pastries. The cakes are very popular during this time, especially the winter cakes. These cakes vary from gifts, snowflakes, and Santa faces. Buddy said that the bakery will generally make about 800 cakes for the week of Christmas!

Can you imagine how many cookies and cakes the bakery makes during this time? After seeing the episode, we saw Buddy helping with the ingredients and making sure that everyone does their part. There was a scene in the show where Buddy is going around and checking every single cookie and cupcake in the bakery. He throws away some cookies because they ended up being crooked and said that was not the quality of cookie that he wanted to sell to his customers.
