TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers finds that, we’ve come to a conclusion about the Plaths. I think that it would be much more therapeutic for their relationship if someone in that family finally lost it and snapped on everybody and said exactly what they meant in the bluntest terms possible. The way they ‘fight’ is a way that I, and I’m willing to be a lot of other people, cannot relate to.

Now, I know this is a TV show and some people put their best face forward for the camera. I don’t know how TLC shows are filmed so maybe they only take the best clips and put them out there, I’m not sure. But these ‘talks’ are hostage negotiation level talks when they really don’t need to be.

TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: Putting the kids to bed early.. For what?

Like when they were having the discussion about Isaac, they put the little kids to be early but they really, really didn’t need to because it didn’t escalate. There was not a screaming match, no one lost their temper, Olivia didn’t string up Mama Plath and make her her new dartboard. Ethan didn’t get down in the floor and kick and scream like a child. Kim didn’t start sprouting snakes from her hair and Barry’s head didn’t spin around once. It was like watching a UN negotiation in ancient latin, without subtitles! No one needed to be put to bed except for maybe Lydia, who would probably need a Xanax after all that ‘fighting’. Ahem.

TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: Micah and Moriah handle modeling like champs

Their irritating fighting style aside, I’m glad that Olivia took Micah to go see that modeling agent. Marsha Doll. It was such a step outside all of their comfort zones, but both Micah and Moriah really handled things like pros and were so cool about things. In spite of not being around people much when they were little, they seem to have a passable amount of people skills, they’re nice and polite, kind of quiet but then who isn’t when they’re nervous? I’m also glad they got to go to the beach and just act goofy as siblings. There was nothing more wholesome than watching them make Ethan do a model walk, “Pretend you don’t you don’t have a farmer’s tan!” that cracked me up.

TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: What dance, where?

Not to squash Moriah’s dreams but I seriously don’t see how on earth she’s going to go to college and major in dance when she hasn’t been taking lessons all these years, unless there’s something that they haven’t yet revealed on Plathville. That one I did agree with Mama Plath on, to rein her in and make her focus on the more academic side of things rather than the sports side of things because getting into college sports is competitive even when you’re a high school athelete and to my knowledge, Moriah may be physically fit but she’s no athelete. But God bless her for trying!

TLC Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: Can we get some adrenaline up in here?

Next week there’s going to be a big announcement in the Plath family household and we can only hope that someone snaps and flips a table because I am not in the mood for another ‘tense civil discussion’, that is what c-span is for! I want to see some table flipping, some screaming, and if someone yells “I hate you!” then, all the better! Or at least raise your voice when you fight. Good grief!!!
