Kim and Barry Plath have been given a lot of flack for the way that they have chosen to raise their children. They are all home schooled and the children do not have computers, cell phones, and no almost nothing about popular culture as most of us do today. Many people have said that sheltering children is not a way to raise them, but the Plath family said that it’s been working, so they aren’t going to change it.
TLC Welcome to Plathville: From Farm Boy to Model
Micah is the third of the Plath children. On the latest episode of Welcome to Plathville, we see that Micah has become extremely interested in becoming a model. Of course, this really surprised his parents and the other Plath children. Micah is 18 years old now and has started to feel that it is time for him to branch out on his own too. One of their other children, Moriah, has recently expressed these feelings of freedom as well. On the Plath family website, they posted that Micah has a lot of talent in music and plays the guitar and mandolin. Not only does he love music, and is very good at playing it, he is one of the best of the Plath children at raising the beef cows. The website also lists him as the “best farmer in the family”. He has also been trying really hard to break into the world of modeling.
We saw Micah on the first episode of the show going to meet a modeling agent with his sister-in-law, Olivia. The woman that he met is named Marsha Doll and she said he was very talented. She thinks that he could make it as a model if he decided to pursue it as a career. So what is keeping him back? Could it be his sheltering parents? By looking at his Instagram, we can see that he is trying to do some modeling and even did an event with Marsha Doll. We hope that he can find some fame and fortune in this field.
