Netflix’s ‘Tiger King‘ star Joe Exotic has explained why he’s filing for divorce from his husband Dillon Passage. As it turns out, he wants to get married behind bars! Exotic’s lawyer, Autumn Blackledge, told TMZ that Joe’s new love interest is a man named John Graham, and the romance is the reason why he’s filed for divorce.
Joe Exotic simply summed it up by saying, “God works in amazing ways.”
Joe and Dillon were estranged for more than a year before Exotic filed for divorce and Dillon apparently already has another man in his life as well.

Blackledge, Joe’s lawyer, says that he met John in February 2021 when they were both locked up at FMC Fort Worth in Texas, and even though John has already been released from custody, he seemed to have had a lasting effect on Joe. According to documents from TMZ, John was in prison for burglary and possession of a firearm. In 2012, he was sentenced to 12 years, though, he was released on March 15th of this year.
It was in 2017 that Joe and Dillon married, just 2 months after Exotic’s previous husband, Travis Maldonado died from accidentally shooting himself. Now, it looks like Joe will be lining up for a third marriage.
While Joe was an overnight hit in 2020 when ‘Tiger King’ was released, it still looks like he’ll remain in jail for a while and what he’ll do when he does get out is unknown. Will his star continue to shine as bright or will he be forgotten about in another year? We’ll have to wait and see.
