‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) and Audra Charles’s (Zuleyka Silver) friendship is so refreshing and one of the best on daytime TV.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Supports Audra and Encourages Her to Be Herself
Let’s talk about Sally first. Sally is a very supportive BFF to Audra and one of the few people who truly cares about her.
In a sea of hypocritical and wealthy families with silver spoons in their mouths, Sally serves as Audra’s anchor. The redhead won’t listen to the naysayers when it comes to Audra.
Sally is 100 percent Audra’s biggest cheerleader, and we saw proof of the friendship’s reciprocity last week on Y&R.

When Sally texted Audra to come by her house with a pregnancy test, Audra didn’t hesitate to come through for her.
Courtney Hope is a very compelling actress, and the way Hope has played Sally as a woman trying to navigate a mix of fear, joy, and sadness while contending with the tragic memories of losing her baby girl, Ava.
Ava was Sally and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) baby, who tragically died shortly after her birth. Grief like that doesn’t go away. Sally wore that grief on full display when she confided in Audra about her loss.
We also love that Sally isn’t the type of character to keep big secrets like this from her partner. The first thing she did was text Billy to come home.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally and Audra Both Lost Their Babies
Sally also listened compassionately as Audra told her about her baby with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).
Sadly, Audra miscarried Noah’s child. Audra shared this with Sally, and we could see the heartbreak beneath her often-hardened façade.

We don’t get to see much of Audra’s true self, except when she’s with Sally. Somehow, Sally is able to see Audra’s core nature and understands Audra’s ambition to succeed no matter the cost.
Both young women are outsiders in Genoa City, with no family living in town. While Sally has her man, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Audra doesn’t have anyone else to turn to other than Sally.
Audra may have a history of double-crossing and backstabbing people, but we don’t anticipate that she would ever do that with Sally.
Sally and Audra are bonded as they have opened up to each other about their respective heartbreaks and career struggles.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Sees Her Former Self In Audra
Not to mention, we can imagine that Sally sees her former self in Audra. When Sally was working in Los Angeles, she was a troublemaker and disliked by many characters, namely, the Forrester and Spencer families.
Sally was once a manipulator and was viewed as inferior by the prominent Spencer and Forrester families, which fueled her need to fight dirty to get what she wanted and to do whatever it took to succeed in the fashion world.
Of course, we’re talking about Sally’s persona on Y&R’s sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful. So, Sally can relate to Audra’s cutthroat business instincts and desire to get ahead.
The whole “girl power” attitude these two have totally works for them, and especially for their friendship.

When Audra confides in Sally, a lightbulb goes off, and we can understand why she uses deceptive tactics to manipulate others and why she is the way she is.
The female friendship dynamic between Sally and Audra balances Audra’s “bad girl” image with a hint of something there beneath the surface.
Audra and Sally have true chemistry as friends, and we hope we get to see more of them and that Y&R doesn’t abandon one of the most entertaining, genuine friendships on the show.
