Does this mean a surprise wedding is on the horizon? Y&R fans know that Sally urged Billy to visit his mom, Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton), in London to try to work on their relationship.
After all, Billy doesn’t need to be in Genoa City to run Chancellor now that it’s back in the hands of Victor Newman (Eric Braden).
So, Billy decided to listen to his girlfriend’s wise words and open his heart, reawakening his broken bond with his mom.
Sally is obviously a positive influence on Billy. While the couple has faced many challenges in their relationship, they have still managed to overcome their differences. Bill
Yet, Billy being Billy is liable to screw up their reunion. Unless Billy is willing to do the hard work to change, he may always struggle with his obsessions, temptations, and inability to keep his promises.
He let Sally down when he chose to pursue Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) to give him Chancellor instead of sticking with her to build Abbott Communications, which has now become Spectra/Charles.
Billy really blew it with her big time with broken promises and his endless ambition to seek revenge on Victor and taking Chancellor for himself.
Sally has often compared Billy to her father, who, when she was a kid, would make promises to her and break them. She doesn’t want to feel that same perpetual disappointment in her relationship with Billy.

However, after their breakup, Billy knows what it feels like to lose Sally, and he may do whatever it takes to prevent it from happening again.
This is why we predict that Billy may pop the question and ask Sally to marry him. The spoilers for April indicate that the pair will make some plans for their future.
Perhaps seeing Jill could prompt Billy to make a very adult decision and secure his relationship with Sally with a lavish, romantic wedding.
Billy getting down on one knee and asking Sally to marry him would definitely be a surprise for Sally, considering they recently got back on track.
However, Sally and Billy have been going strong since 2024. They have proven their commitment to each other time and time again.
She’s also won over Billy’s family and his children, as the Abbotts strongly approve of Sally and know that she may be the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
