‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the wedding between Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) was one for the books, and while a majority of viewers like it, there was a subsidiary of people who of course, had nasty things to say.
In a post on Instagram that celebrated the episode and the two characters, viewers were arguing about the message it sent and why the show would showcase a lesbian marriage. It seems some folks had somethings to say about it.

Negative viewers wrote things like this, “Not a fan of same-sex marriages read your Bible” and “Mariah is engaged to a man. They are just trying to please today’s way of life.” There are some other comments that are too much to share on this article, but these two in particular stood out as viewers came to the defense of #Teriah.
Viewers questioned why someone who abides by the bible would have an issue with same-sex marriage but not murder, adultery or any of the other crazy things that happen on the show, “Why do you watch soap operas if you follow the Bible? The storylines are full of sin! You’re not a very good Christian”, and “Soap operas have always had storylines of adultery, lying, stealing, and murder. You just ignored them like you do all the other Bible verses that are inconvenient to you 😂.”
On nearly every post we can see these kinds of arguments happening and I think we should call these folks out and if they don’t want to watch it, they don’t have to.
