‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that a special episode is coming up in the memory of Jerry Douglas and his run as John Abbott. John may have passed away, but he has not been forgotten, and the legacy he left behind is still seen everyday on the show.
While Y&R celebrated its 50th anniversary, they will keep the party going by remembering Jerry and his character of John Abbott.
John was the head of the Abbott family and loved his children so much that is still felt today by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) often and they speak of their father all the time.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Kym Douglas Joins The Cast As Zelda Wilford For Special John Abbott Tribute Episode
This special episode will be airing on Thursday, June 22 and will be something you don’t want to miss! There will be a lot of flashback scenes with some of his most memorable moments over the years and whether you’re a new viewer or someone who has watched the show for decades, you’ll be able to see how John was.
There will also be a special guest that you’ll want to see! Jerry Douglas’ wife, Kym Douglas will be playing a character named Zelda Wilford. It looks like Zelda will have a significant connection to the Abbott’s and we look forward to seeing how she will fit in with the rest of the family.
Kym is an author and t.v. personality so she should have no issue appearing on the show and bringing with her a great personality. This is sure to be a special moment and one that could bring Jack and Ashley back together instead of fighting over silly things!
If anyone could have brought them together, it would have been John. Perhaps Zelda can do her part to channel as much of him as possible.
