The Young and the Restless poses the question: Did Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) lie about the death of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and help Matt play the Newmans?

Sienna’s Feelings for Noah Seem Genuine

Sienna showed up at the hotel and told the Newmans that she killed Matt. Her clothes were torn and bloody, and she appeared to be disheveled and traumatized.

Spoilers hint that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) doesn’t trust Sienna as far as she can throw her, which will cause her to have some serious suspicions about Sienna’s claims.

While it seems that Sienna’s feelings for Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) are truly genuine, she may be lying to them on Matt’s orders.

Sharon may start to think that Sienna is working with them and is secretly aligned with her husband, Matt. She could have led the Newmans to believe that she had no idea who Matt Clark was.

Sienna told them that she only knew Matt as Mitch Bacall. Can we trust her? Sienna also claimed that she was not at all involved in Matt’s Fentanyl dealing operation.

However, she was very quick to spot the signs that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was spiraling out of control due to his drug addiction.

Plus, her own brother died of a drug overdose. She understands what it looks like when someone is involved with these dangerous substances. How could she not see that her own husband was dealing drugs?

    Matt’s “Death” Occurred Off-Screen

Also, Matt’s “death” wasn’t an onscreen occurrence. It supposedly went down behind the scenes. Sienna was the only one who was with Matt, and she claimed that she killed him.

We don’t think for a second that Matt is really dead. Y&R is obsessed with crazy, psychotic characters. They always come back.

Sienna has been like an enigma from the start. She’s a very mysterious character, and we have no idea what her past looks like. Is she really in cahoots with Matt?

Sharon is about to doubt Sienna’s loyalty in a big way. She’s a mama bear who has always followed her instincts, and she’s not going to believe that Sienna really killed Matt.

On the other hand, Sienna may not be trying to “deceive” the Newmans. She may actually be lying to protect the Newmans.

Sienna could have flown off the handle and attacked Matt after he blew up the gas station, thinking the Newmans were inside.

Would Y&R Really Sacrifice the Brilliance That is Roger Howarth?

Sienna may believe she killed him, but knowing Y&R, it’s highly likely she didn’t. Matt is a major threat to the Newmans, and there is nothing Josh Griffith likes more than a major villain.

Let’s face it: Roger Howarth is a brilliant actor who probably should have been brought back as a new character and not Matt Clark.

The show would experience a massive loss if they killed off Matt simply because the actor who plays him is nothing short of a genius.

It takes a lot of talent to make a character like Matt Clark likable, and Howarth has managed to rock the hell out of this awful character miraculously. I am willing to bet he writes some of his own material.

So, the question is, is Sieanna lying about Matt being dead to suit some nefarious purpose? Or is everything a total blur, and she doesn’t know?
