‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is worried about Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd), more so than normal. While she’s already been concerned with his wellbeing and returning home after being presumed dead, she’s now worried that he doesn’t want to be a father.

It’s no surprise that Chance has been struggling since returning to Genoa City. He watched his friends die, returned home, and was thrown into a picture-perfect family lifestyle and has not been able to connect with Dominic. In fact, he even asked Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) for help, which has only made things worse.

Now though, it looks like Chance is more excited about work than his actual family. He went and spoke with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about what was going on around town and at the police department and Chance was the happiest he had been since arriving back in town.

Abby could see it in his face as he described his day out with Rey talking about work. She wasn’t happy but she also probably felt like that was more important to him than her and Dominic.

As a father, I can say that working gives me purpose, whether it be writing on this site or my magazine, or whatever I’m doing. By working, I know that I’m providing for my family, and that gets me excited. So, playing Devil’s advocate, I can kind of see why Chance would be excited about getting back to work. Though, it may not be the best time with everything going on.
