‘The Bachelor’ ex-host Chris Harrison turned 50 this week, and it seems his ‘retirement’ is treating him quite nicely.
Seen out dining at an L.A. hotspot with long term girlfriend, ET host Lauren Zima on Tuesday night, Harrison confirmed to TMZ that he was continuing the festivities after turning the big 5-0 the day before.
When prompted as to how Harrison felt now the dust has settled on his abrupt exit from the franchise he has hosted for two decades, the man was all smiles.
No grudges seem to be held as the newly minted quinquagenarian has had time to process his new lifestyle. He seemed especially happy to have weekdays back to himself for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Harrison was also quizzed about how he felt now that Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell have rekindled their drama-filled relationship.
After all, it was the fall-out from Kirkconnell being accused of racism, and the backlash Harrison received for defending the Bachelor ‘winning’ contestant that ultimately led to the franchise parting ways with their long time host.
Again, the household name was very Zen, saying there were no ill-feelings and that he wished the couple only the best.
Finally, Harrison was asked if he was keeping tabs on the show now that his tenure is up. Currently Katie Thurston’s Bachelorette season is coming to a close with ex-Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bistowe in co-host roles.
Harrison confirmed he was still keeping tabs of the show but didn’t offer any further opinion. He didn’t need to, the poor ratings are speaking for him.
It will be interesting to see if ratings rise again for Bachelor In Paradise when it begins mid-August with Titus Burgess, Lance Bass, Lil Jon and David Spade taking turns hosting the summertime gig.
Watch the final episodes of The Bachelorette, Monday nights on ABC at 8pm ET….it seems Chris Harrison will be.
