‘Seeking Sister Wife’ spoilers find that one sister wife is seeking a plane ticket back home to South Africa. Dimitri Snowden is divorcing new sister wife Christeline Peterson after being married for less than a year.
Mom of two, Christeline is currently being seen on TLC’s 3rd season of Seeking Sister Wife as she considers joining the marriage of Dimitri and current wife Ashley Snowden. Spoiler alert: she does, becoming Dimitri’s legal wife in July 2020.
‘Seeking Sister Wife’: Dimitri Snowden Files for Divorce After Charges of Domestic Violence
Dimitri has now filed for divorce—just last week—after he and Ashley separated from Christeline in January. In the filings, Dimitri requests that his ex-wife not be granted spousal support and claimed that Christeline “has abandoned the marriage”. He states and that he does not know her current whereabouts.
“Irreconcilable differences” was cited as the reason for the divorce, however Christeline previously accused both Dimitri and her sister wife, Ashley of domestic violence. She successfully petitioned for a restraining order against Dimitri however the court had said they needed further information in regards to the relationship between the two women before they could issue Christeline with a restraining order against Ashley.
Christeline’s case against the Snowdens has since been tossed out and the restraining order against Dimitri dissolved as the ‘burden of proof’ was not met.
Christeline is not the only sister wife the Snowdens are courting in season 3. Talyer Monique from Georgia is also featured on the reality series, yet it seems she, too has left the couple since filming wrapped. Tayler showed support for Christeline when the abuse allegations became public.
Also supporting Christeline is Vanessa Cobbs who ‘married’ Dimitri and Ashley in a spiritual ceremony at the end of season 2 of Seeking Sister Wife. Cobbs left the Snowdens shortly after the Tell All and moved to Australia. Vanessa showed her support to Christeline by posting a photo of a purple heart drawn on her hand. Purple is the color used to stand up against domestic violence.
It is presumed Christeline and her two daughters are back in their native South Africa but currently can be seen on Seeking Sister Wife season 3 airing on TLC , Mondays at 8pm ET.
