Some things just weren’t meant to be, right? Well, that’s what one of Prince Harry’s exes is telling herself right now as she says she’s relieved that they broke up the way they did.
Model Florence St. George, who dated Prince Harry back in 2011, says that she struggled with all of the attention that she got for dating a prince. She also said that her privacy ended rather abruptly the moment she began dating Harry. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry’s Ex Says She’s Relieved Over Their Break-Up
In an interview with Stella magazine, Florence opened up about her relationship with Harry and how difficult it was for her to deal with all of the media pressure and attention that she got at the time. She said that even her friends were interrogated by the press and that the paparazzi camped outside her door.
She put it this way, “I take my hat off to those people who can cope with that lifestyle. However, I knew I couldn’t. Although it was sad at the time, I feel lucky that the relationship was short-lived.”
Florence also said that she had been dealing with anxiety and depression since her teens.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle has been slammed for her “undignified” television appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Meghan participated in a prank skit on the daytime television show. She wore cat ears, devoured hot sauce on crackers like a chipmunk and held a huge crystal to her face during the segment. Meghan got Ellen-style goofy when she donned an earpiece so Ellen could tell her what to say and do as she perused the wares of three vendors on the studio lot.
But according to Anna Pasternak, who wrote the book, “The American Duchess: The Real Wallis Simpson,” Meghan could have done without the talk show appearance.
“In Meghan Markle’s preeningly self-satisfied appearance on Ellen, she embarrassed the royal family and she embarrassed herself. She may have rejected the British monarchy yet still she seeks to capitalize on her title, being described on-screen as Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. Presumably, this is to boost her popularity in North America,” Pasternak mused.
