And so the cards are falling. Apparently, Meghan Markle will soon be spending a whole lot of time in and out of a courtroom as there’s a new report that suggests she’s about to be slapped with another lawsuit.
But this time around, it’s from her estranged sister, Samantha Markle. The 57-year-old, who hasn’t spoken to Meghan in years, is accusing her of making false statements about her. Here’s what you need to know.
Samantha Markle Wants To Sue Her Sister Meghan Markle
Reports say that Samantha has consumed lawyers and wants to move forward with a lawsuit over defamation and privacy infringement. Samantha made this revelation herself during her interview with the Sunday Times. She says, “I’m speaking to one lawyer in England and one in the US as there are different statutory windows and different issues.”
It all occurred after Samantha admitted she was ‘shocked’ over Meghan’s Court of Appeal apology, an apology that was in direct opposition to her former demands for privacy.
If that weren’t enough, Samantha also says she is preparing to launch lawsuits against Meghan on both sides of the Atlantic.
Back in August, Samantha had some choice words for her royal sister on her 40th birthday. She admitted that Meghan was always “obsessed” with the royals form a very young age.
Samantha put it this way, “A lot of young girls fantasized about being princesses around the time of Diana’s life, so I didn’t really pay attention to it. It wasn’t until much later when I saw the photographs of the memory of Diana, of her gestures being photographed in the same clothes. Looking at a lot of evidence to suggest that she knew a lot about the royals, she studied their lives.”
