While the palace doors haven’t really been slammed in their faces (just yet) one royal expert believes there’s really no turning back for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, especially when it comes to their very low popularity back in the UK. In fact, a new poll has suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now experiencing such low popularity that they might have a hard time ever recovering from it. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have sunk to an all-time low in the UK as far as their “favorability” rating is concerned. According to pollsters YouGov, Meghan is liked by 26 percent of the British population and disliked by 65 percent, which squares to a net approval rating of -39 percent. Harry, meanwhile, is liked by 34 percent and disliked by 59 percent, leaving him a net favorability of -25 percent.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have ‘No Way Back’ Now According To Royal Expert
And now one royal expert says that Harry and Meghan have “no way back” of every regaining the high popularity they both achieved during their peak in 2017 and 2018.
Speaking to Entertainment Daily in a new interview, royal commentator Charles Rae put it this way: “I think Harry and Meghan are a lost cause. I cannot see them ever regaining the high popularity they once reached.
Their continued preachings are getting on everyone’s nerves. In at least one poll they lost 50 points which puts them lower than Prince Charles when he divorced Diana.”
Rae Added: “I cannot see any way back. Perhaps they should wake up and smell the coffee and realise that they are no longer nor will be loved by the British public as they once were.”
