There’s a new report that suggests Prince Charles is in “crisis mode” over his wife Camilla Parker Bowles’ image. This, despite the fact that the Duchess of Cornwall really hasn’t been making any negative headlines lately, compared to other members of the royal family.
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s never-ending campaign to throw the royal family under the bus, Prince Andrew being slapped with a lawsuit from a former sex trafficing victim and Prince Charles’ own cash-for-honors scandal, it seems like the Prince of Wales’ mind seems to be elsewhere.
Is Prince Charles In Crisis Mode Over Camilla Parker Bowles’ Public Image
According to royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti, he believes that because of Camilla’s public image, the palace has been thrown into crisis mode ahead of Prince Charles’ ascension to the throne, if you want to believe it.
Sacerdoti told Express in a new interview: “As a concept, the institution has benefitted from the leadership of a monarch who has been much-loved across the nation and they need him to have that same level of support, or one approaching it, for it to carry on well into the future. If he’s not popular, it makes the whole concept of the monarchy less popular.”
He added: “That’s why I think, if you look at those league tables, it’s interesting to see what’s happening with his popularity and indeed with Camilla’s popularity because it is clear that they are trying very hard to make sure we see their good side and their good deeds and their good behaviors.
It’s unavoidable, unfortunately, that Camilla and Charles are well known in part because of the very complicated and difficult and tragic separation Charles had with Princess Diana and then her eventual death.”
Sacerdoti also said that there’s “no escaping Camilla’s part” in that history, and that it’s “extremely difficult” for them to overcome. Do you agree?
