‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcaster, Joe Rogan was the subject of a widespread death hoax on Twitter. The 54-year-old starter trending Wednesday morning after several sources began circulating tweets with false information that he was dead. Bogus tweets from @joerogannhq read,

“We are saddened to announce the passing of Joe Rogan. He died peacefully in his home this afternoon, we will provide more details as they arrive, with respect to his family’s wishes.”

The hoax even contained fake statements from Dana White, president of the UFC with a screenshot of a tweet saying they were grieving for Rogan’s family.

“The entire UFC family is devastated to hear of Joe Rogan’s passing,” the phony tweet read. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family she loved ones, and we will make sure to continue his legacy. – Dana White”

At the moment the tweets have been deleted but screenshots remain online. Other prankers even said they had a statement from Rogan’s family.

However, Rogan is taking this in stride and with humor as he’s taken the false accounts of his death and retweeted them simply saying, “I’m pregnant,” while promoting his Las Vegas shows.

This probably happened because of comments he made recently about transgender swimmer Lia Thomas competing against women and saying it is an “assault on women’s sports.” He also said that if he has to walk on eggshells while having conversations, he would quit podcasting.

Several fans and listeners believe this hoax was a result of his comments and the transgender community “getting back at him”.

However, you can take a breath. Joe Rogan is alive.
