We all know what happened with Chris Rock and Will Smith at this point and have seen the video a million times. During the Oscars, Chris Rock made a joke (very mild joke) about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair, however, what many people were unaware of was it was due to a medical disorder.
This prompted Will (after he was laughing) to walk up to the stage and open-hand slap Rock in the face before returning to his seat and screaming out, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth” twice. While it appeared it could have been staged it appears more and more that it was not and Will acted out.
Joe Rogan spoke about it on his podcast and said that Smith was “emotionally fragile” and acted impulsively.

He also explained it to where Will believed for a moment he was in a movie, and felt that there would be no repercussions from his actions because of who he is and how famous he is. I think many of us agree and it’s proving to be true, as there are no charges on Will (as of now), he was not removed from the Oscars after that, and in fact, it’s become a joke around the internet. There was in fact, no repercussions for his actions.
Several listeners replied to the video saying, “Joe is 100% right, “he was doing some weird movie thing”, “Absolutely agree 100 percent with everything that he said…. He articulated his thoughts concerning the subject in such a marvelous manner. Stating that his mind set is that of a “character in a movie” is spot-on in my opinion”, and “What bothers me is that if someone else had done exactly the same thing the police would have arrested him, but since he is a “celebrity” absolutely nothing happened. That’s bulls–t.”
