Netflix's 'Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez' Releases January 15 - What To Expect From It

The name Aaron Hernandez has become infamous, and Netflix will explore him further in Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez. Their new series is a three-part documentary. It will explore all of Hernandez’s life, starting from childhood in an attempt to uncover the why of his actions. It’s not an exercise of finding pity for him, but rather understanding what caused his actions. From childhood trauma to potential concussion injuries, the Netflix series will explore it all.

For those who may not know who Hernandez is, he was a former New England Patriot. He played tight end opposite of the legendary Rob Gronkowski and caught footballs from Tom Brady. Sounds like a pretty great life doesn’t it? Unfortunately, Hernandez would throw away a promising young career in a matter of seconds. Netflix’s Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez will also discuss his death and what possible conclusion they can draw from it.

It’s hard for anyone to understand how someone could murder another life. The complete absence of good and just must be completely void from your body at that moment. Unfortunately, it seems Hernandez was a ticking time bomb.

It was reported that he had two residences, which isn’t hard to understand. He was a very talented player in the NFL. The Patriots had even extended his contract, 5 years for $40 million! However, at his second house, it was a completely different story. Drugs were scattered throughout the home, as well as guns. It was obvious he was on the verge of something, walking the balance on a tight rope. Who could have known?

Aaron Hernandez – His Father And Future Brother-In-Law

From the trailer, it sounds like we will be exploring the childhood of Hernandez a bit more. It seems he didn’t have a good home life and was in constant fear of his father. This early childhood trauma could play a role in the future of his life. Hernandez was tried for the murder of Odin Lloyd. Lloyd was dating Hernandez’s fiance’s sister at the time of the murder. On June 26, 2013, Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Lloyd and thus the lengthy process began.

It wasn’t until nearly two years, on April 15, 2015, that Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree murder, as well as five weapons charges! He was also tried for two separate murder charges for a 2012 double homicide. However, these were later acquitted. For the first charges, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Most of us know the outcome. In 2017 he was found dead in his jail cell. He had hung himself with his bedsheets. We may never know why he chose these actions, and to throw away everything he had. Netflix will attempt to give us some clarity, however. Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez releases on Netflix, January 15.
