    Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico' Season 2 - Releases February 13

Narcos: Mexico is a continuation of the popular Netflix series Narcos. It took everyone by storm with its release and season two will be no different! This series has told the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots. The world of drug trafficking is a disorganized connection of independent dealers and growers in the 1980s.  Felix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes the helm of the Guadalajara Cartel, unifying traffickers to build an empire.

Meanwhile, DEA agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post. However, things are more than he thought here and this job is going be challenging than he could have thought. We follow along with Camarena, as he gains more intelligence on Gallardo and becomes increasingly entangled with the investigation.

    Netflix’s ‘Narcos: Mexico’ Season 2 – Releases February 13

Fans of the first season have been waiting and wondering about a second season. Thankfully, Netflix uploaded a teaser video to its YouTube page! The teaser gives us a release date, February 13, as well as a glimpse into what will happen. It is clear from the teaser that backstabbing and alliances will break down this season.

In the video, we see Felix sitting at the head of a large table, each side filled with big characters. The voiceover is ominous and alludes to several characters turning on Felix. The camera ducks below the table and we see everyone holding guns, pointed at each other. This signifies, literally and figuratively the betrayal that will ensue.

    No One Is Untouchable

It seems as though Felix will have a lot to worry about this season. Not only will he have a drug industry to run and DEA agents to avoid, but also his own people. There is going to be a big uprising for his power. It could come from anyone, but it seems even Felix is worried.

Not only the line from the trailer, “No one is untouchable” implies this, but even the look on his face. He looks to know what’s going on and doesn’t know what to do. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. It seems we will just have to tune in next month to see what Felix will do! Narcos: Mexico season two will release next month, February 13.
