NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the return is getting closer by the day. On the 21st, DOOL returns after a hiatus for the Olympics, and the teasers keep coming. This time, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is the subject of the promo. Let’s take a look at what’s ahead for him.

So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Xander’s promo focused on his love life. He goes on about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) being the love of his life. And, of course, he gives a shoutout to the one he thought was the love of his life—Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Everything seems straightforward.
Until it cuts to a clip of Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) telling Xander Sarah never broke up with him. It was Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in a mask. So, it seems Xander has a little bit of a dilemma on his hands. Which one will he choose?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Obvious Choice
While we love him with Gwen and think Sarah was getting a little too cutesy before her sudden departure, we think he’ll end up back where he started. See, in the promo, he races out the door of the Salem Inn, where he’ll run into Sarah herself.
Now, we’re not sure whether that will be the real Sarah or not. There’s always the chance someone is going to act the part again. Either way, we’re expecting Xander to be skeptical of this other Sarah. Well, okay, let’s amend that. He should be skeptical.
Let’s face it—Xander’s a bit… well, dense at times. We’re actually surprised he never seemed to consider the idea that the Sarah who broke his heart was a fake. After all, he did find out from Susan Banks (Haiduk) that Kristen was running around impersonating people.
And that it wasn’t Susan who warned him about Sarah being with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). So, the idea he believed that woman he saw at the Kiriakis mansion was Sarah is questionable but somewhat understandable. If he doesn’t question this other Sarah, we’ll really cry foul.
The thing is, though, once the real Sarah does get to Salem and finds Xander, it’s likely he’ll be leaning toward a reunion with his former love. After all, it wasn’t her choice to leave him. And the fact he was so determined to figure out where she was shown he still cares for her. But there will be one thing that should make all the difference.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: End Of The Road
So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Gwen has been telling her fair share of lies since getting to town. So far, she’s been lucky. No matter what’s happened, Xander has stuck by her. Plus, she has always managed to get Jack back in her corner. However, there are a lot of things that are likely to come to light soon. And this would spell the end of the road for Gwen. At least, as far as Jack and Xander are concerned.
Xander should, and will likely be, hurt when he finds out Gwen knew about Sarah’s kidnapping and said nothing. In fact, she helped Kristen escape to keep the secret under wraps. Given all the venom he spewed toward whoever was responsible for that, we can’t imagine he wouldn’t look at Gwen differently now.
And Jack? Well, not only would he have a problem with that, but we think Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) getting kidnapped as well will be the final straw. Especially since Gwen helped.
There is only one thing we see that could save her, at least as far as Xander’s concerned. He’s probably understood Gwen more than anyone else in town. And he’s got his own (worse) crimes in his past. So, there is the chance he could feel some compassion for her. Maybe not enough to trust and stay with her, but enough to still be someone she can turn to. We’ll see how generous Xander feels when DOOL returns.
