According to Nancy Grace, Brian Laundrie’s parents may never be charged with anything. Now, it’s all been speculated that his family, Chris and Roberta Laundrie namely, were involved and knew more than they were telling about the disappearance of Gabby Petito and subsequently their son, Brian Laundrie.
There were all kinds of theories floating around that they were helping Brian, and that he was on the run, and though they didn’t exactly do anything to help investigators, it seems they also did not directly impede FBI investigations either.
Brian Laundrie’s parents may never face charges
They found Brian, in the same place that the parents said he would be in, in the Carlton Reserve, deceased and skeletal, even though he had only been gone five weeks. They don’t have a timeline for when or how he died yet, but it is speculated that wildlife may have gotten to Brian ultimately.
He was by himself and even though he was a pretty good survivalist, even his own sister had said that she didn’t think that he was that good at surviving out in the wilderness for that long in one interview. Hauntingly enough, it looks like she was ultimately right.
Nancy Grace, in her investigation commented that unless the Laundries are proven to have done something overt to impede investigations or aide and abet their son, Brian Laundrie, in evading police capture while still alive, then chances are they will never be charged with an actual crime.
This could mean that there will never truly be justice for Gabby Petito and her family because the person who most probably did this will never get their day in court. Cassie Laundrie, Brian’s sister, has distanced herself from the family by telling what she knows, which, did conflict a little with initial statements but this entire family doesn’t really seem to embrace the norm, that’s what a lot of people in the true crime community have said.
That being said, everyone grieves differently and maybe this is part of how the Laundries are grieving, their lawyer, Steve Bertolino, has asked for privacy for the family at this time. We at DSD will keep on top of this case, stay tuned!!!
