Laundrie’s parents always stood up for him while the media kept poking and prodding about their son. They were his number one fans and this death has been incredibly tough on them. True Crime: Brian Laundrie’s Parents Need to Grieve
The rest of Brian’s remains will be cremated and they said that they will deal with all of that “when the time comes.” His remains were found in the alligator-infested waters of the Carlton Reserve. The last time that the Laundrie’s were seen leaving was when they headed to the Carlton Reserve to meet up with authorities. They had found the backpack that belonged to Brian with his phone and other personal effects.
His parents did share a lot of valuable information with authorities and it does seem that they were very concerned about him from the last conversation they all had together. They said that he was in a “bad state of mind” when he left their home back in September. Their lawyer told the press, “Brian, to my knowledge, was never quote ‘suicidal’, and ultimately he was in a bad state of mind when he left. Chris had conveyed that to me. Chris had said, ‘I wish I didn’t let him walk out the door.’But you know, he was a young adult, 22 years old, he’s certainly allowed to walk out the door.”
He then added, “Brian had said that he was going out for a hike, that he had packed his backpack. Chris and Roberta didn’t think too much about it because he was always going out on hikes. Brian is no longer with us. We can now understand that perhaps he was just in a bad place at that time. As od right now, Chris and Roberta are going to grieve for their son.”
