A clearer mental picture of Brian Laundrie is emerging from statements made from the family lawyer, Steve Bertolino. He said of Brian that he was ‘upset’ the day he left the family home on the 13th of September and his Father Chris Laundrie tried to get him to stay but was unable to, because Brian was a 23 year old adult and could come and go as he pleases.
Bertolino did not and has not commented on Gabby Petito since her body was positively identified. So it’s unclear what Brian was upset about, but it’s becoming clearer and clearer that this may just have been the result of his own actions.
Brian Laundrie was reportedly ‘upset’ when he left his family home on Sept. 13th
His lawyer lambasted “John Q Public” and the press and media for speculating that his parents could have had their son’s remains in a plastic bag and come and planted the remains at the reserve. He also blasted the press for their theories that he had been communicating with Brian via a burner phone and that his family had been helping him.
If the family is truly 100% innocent, I can see where this would incense the lawyer a great deal. However, the circumstances looked strange, when the Laundries weren’t really forthcoming about the investigations and have seemed to show no emotion concerning their son, and most concerning is that the lawyer had told his clients not to talk about their son? It just looks suspicious.
When asked if he thought that the family could possibly be charged in any sort of crime, he said that he had no reason to believe that at all. So far the FBI has not charged the parents with any wrongdoing, nor has the FBI put forth any sort of statement saying that they suspect the family in any way, but now that a more complete picture is coming into view, one wonders if the FBI’s statements will change toward the Laundries?
It begs the question, did the parents know what had happened with Gabby or did Brian tell them that they had just broken up? So far they haven’t commented on any of that, and they probably won’t until the case goes to court.
As for the manner of death, Bertolino said that he didn’t want to know how Brian died and again, think that it’s pretty gruesome of people to speculate. He also said that the people that are camped outside of the Laundrie home need to leave, because they are parents, they are humans, they have feelings, and they have lost a loved one and need their privacy at this time.
Honestly, no matter how much anyone protests outside their house, it’s not going to bring Brian nor Gabby back, so now that we have a conclusion, we just have to wait on the answers from the crime lab. We at DSD will continue to follow this story. Stay tuned!!!
