According to a video released by Shane Dawson on his channel, Jeffree Star claimed that he was quitting YouTube and only had two videos left before his departure. Well, now rumor has it that Jeffree Star has purchased actual retail space in downtown Caspar, Wyoming, where he plans on selling yak meat and makeup.
This is all according to the K2 radio station in Wyoming. Currently, he supplies yak meat to Fire Rock Steakhouse, Grant Street Grocery, and more.
Jeffree Star purchases a retail space
According to K2, Jeffree Star started setting up pop-up shops around Caspar, but that really wasn’t enough for him. So he decided to open something a little more permanent. However, when he first moved to Wyoming he said he didn’t intend on living there full time.
He said once he settled into Wyoming however, that he loved the place so much that he wanted to do a retail store there. Does this mean that Jeffree Star is going to move all his stuff to his brick and mortar business? No. Obviously, he knows that everything can be done online.
He said that they had been doing the pop-up shops at his shipping fulfillment centers but that the experience was not really “on brand” for what we have come to expect from Jeffree Star cosmetics. I mean, it’s a pop-up shop at a shipping fulfillment center in Evansville, how glamorous could it be? Obviously, it could stand to be more so, hence the brick and mortar store.
Jeffree Star says that even though there is makeup stores in Caspar, there is no place to get really the really bright, fun, colorful makeup that Jeffree Star cosmetics is famous for. He says that they searched for the right retail space for months and finally found it in the old Yellowstone district.
The place will be an interactive experience, apparently in one area you can buy yak meat, in another you’ll be able to get cosmetics, and yet another part of the space will be dedicated to a Jeffree Star museum of sorts where you will be able to view Jeffree’s cars and props from the makeup photoshoots that don’t normally get to be seen. Apparently this venture will open in the spring of 2023. We’ll keep an eye on this one. Stay tuned!!!
