Meghan Markle has launched a new Instagram ShopMy Closet page to sell merchandise she’s endorsing. She’s obviously trying her hand at being an influencer while the world waits for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, to become available for purchase.
Meghan Is Promoting Casual, Elevated Basics With A Few Expensive Pieces
In a description of her ShopMy Closet page, she shared,
“A handpicked and curated collection of things I love; you enjoy them.”
Some of the products she’s promoting include her signature white button-down shirt, dress pants, and jewelry so you can look just like her. Yay.
Meghan Markle has mainly comprised the wardrobe of casual, elevated basics and mixed outfits with a few more expensive pieces. Many of the outfits you may recognize as she wore them on her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.” It is primarily button-down shirts and bland, neutral hues.
She displayed a sleeveless gown that costs more than 1,000 pounds and 600-pound sandals. Some of the other clothes featured were wide-leg pants from J. Crew and a light blue sweater from NAADAM.
On her show, she talks about her love of “high-low” dressing. She mixes luxury designer pieces with cheaper items.
A disclaimer on the website reads:
“Please note, some products contain commissionable links.”
The Duchess is likely to earn a commission on the sale of these items and clothes she’s promoting.
The website also featured a black-and-white photo of Meghan. It’s the same snap she used as her profile picture on her Instagram page she launched in January.
Meghan Markle recently renamed her lifestyle brand, as it was initially called “American Riviera Orchard,” but there were trademark issues that prevented her from using the name.
Meghan Stirred The Pot With Fellow Lifestyle Guru Gwenyth Paltrow
The Duchess of Sussex may have also stirred the pot with fellow lifestyle guru Gwenyth Paltrow. She had some interesting comments about Meghan in a recent interview. Gwenyth has focused her lifestyle brand, Goop, on health and wellness.
Her fans don’t dictate her vision for her brand. Meghan, who sells a wide array of miscellaneous products, doesn’t have a clear vision. Her list of products to sell is all over the place.
There were some questions as to whether Gwenyth threw shade at Meghan during a recent interview. Gwenyth said,
“I don’t know Meghan and Harry. I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.”
She continued,
“The possibility of developing a friendship with the Sussexes isn’t totally off the table. She added, “Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.”
Gwenyth didn’t necessarily shade her. However, the statement seems to imply that Meghan is so ridiculous and thinks she’s so important that she requires a massive amount of security and is entitled to approval from others.
Many fans are comparing Gwenyth’s Goop to Meghan’s As Ever. Gowenyth’s Goop is an authentic and creative lifestyle venture. Meghan’s As Ever appears to have been thrown together haphazardly.
The truth is that Gwenyth doesn’t need to badmouth Meghan as she’s well-established and has a strong following. She’s not worried about the competition because she knows Goop will come out on top.
