Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” is the Sussexes “Hail Mary” to try to salvage their lucrative $100 million dollar deal with the streaming giant.

The Duchess of Sussex recently celebrated the renewal of her banal and poorly reviewed lifestyle series for a second season, which airs in the fall.

Netflix Already Filmed The “Second Season”

That being said, Netflix insiders have revealed the truth behind the curtain, which is that the second season was shot back-to-back with season one last year.

When Meghan made the announcement of a second season, she acted like it was a surprise her show was “renewed,” and on March 7th, she was seen celebrating her “success” and waving her arms in the air in supposed victory.

    “It’s not a runaway success,”

The insider explained. According to the Daily Mail,

“With Love, Meghan has dropped out of the top ten most watched shows globally as well as in the US and UK just six days after its release.”

A Netflix insider with connections to the commercial division of the streaming service claims that the negative reviews have “worried” the bosses, partly due to them partnering with Meghan to sell her As Ever brand in stores.

    The source confessed,

“Netflix bosses are all worried now because they have invested a lot in the product line. They don’t know when and how to roll it all out.”

In addition, just because the show is streaming for two seasons doesn’t mean that her Netflix contract is being renewed. It’s actually common practice for Netflix to film the shows back-to-back so people can binge-watch.

“With Love, Meghan” has been widely panned by critics and fans. Even the director of the show admitted, “She’s not a chef,” only days after the first season received negative feedback.

Reviews Of Meghan Markle’s Show Are Scathing And Unforgiving

Viewers were baffled by many of Meghan’s tips and tricks.  The tips included elevating foods by sprinkling them with edible flowers, making plastic bags filled with supermarket pretzels, and her controversial method for cooking spaghetti.

Some of the comments made by the media were,

“The Duchess is attempting to cling to fame by any means possible,”

During the kids’ party episode with Mindy Kaling, Meghan was

“joylessly filling kids party bags with seeds.”

The Telegraph gave the show two stars and called it,

“an exercise in narcissism, filled with extravagant brunches, celebrity pals, and business plugs.”

One comedian, podcaster, and Netflix star gave Meghan’s show an abysmal review. They called it, and Meghan,

    “highly inauthentic, fake, and phony.”

Sources say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with Netflix is on borrowed time.

There have been reports that they are challenging to work with. The only way their deal is renewed is if the show is a hit.

The Duchess claimed that the show has helped her “find herself again.” Speaking to the Sussex-friendly publication, Meghan gushed that her new show not only helped her rediscover her creativity but also reignited a “honeymoon period” for the couple.

“I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”
