Chase is Dangerously Close to Crossing the Line with Willow
We have to wonder why Chase risked his career and is now risking his marriage for Willow. His actions prove that he may harbor deep feelings for her. Either that or he’s blind.
Chase and expert enabler, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) are the only two people left in Weeping Willow’s corner.
Chase is dangerously close to crossing a line with Willow that he may not be able to come back from.
Unbeknownst to Chase, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has already orchestrated a honeytrap scheme to coerce Chase and Willow to cheat on their respective spouses.
Michael plans to exploit Willow and Chase’s close connection to humiliate Willow and destroy her reputation. His goal is to create a major scandal that would end her political career.
Michael wants full custody of those kids, and he won’t stop until he gets it. So, Chase while is blinded by Willow’s “sweet and innocent” act, he may likely fall into Michael’s trap.
Chase also threw away his career as a cop for nothing. Chase loved being a police officer, but he was obsessed with proving Willow’s innocence.
However, Willow is guilty of shooting her husband and drugging him to have locked-in syndrome, while Chase has stupidly and relentlessly defended her.
Chase is now considering working for Willow as her Congressional Chief of Staff, which means they will be in close proximity more often.
Brook Lynn Has Made it Clear She’s Uncomfortable with Chase and Willow’s Relationship
Not to mention, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) warned Willow to stay away from her husband. Willow immediately responded by doing the exact opposite.
Despite Brook Lynn making it crystal clear to Chase that she’s uncomfortable with their relationship, he refuses to end it for his wife’s sake.
What is up with this guy? Is it a White Knight savior complex he has, or does he just not get it? It seems like, because of his past with Willow, he fails to see her flaws.
Willow cheated on Chase with Michael while they were married. Then, she cheated on Michael with his uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She clearly has a pattern.
Willow is now married to Drew, but she clearly has lingering feelings for Chase. Chase, in turn, has chosen to ignore the evidence that Willow isn’t the “good girl” she pretends she is.
Instead, Chase is determined to see the best in her, even if it costs him his career, his marriage, and plans to start a family with Brook Lynn.
Chase may not be a cheater in nature. Plus, we think he truly loves Brook Lynn. However, if Willow leaned in to steal a kiss from Chase, would he even push her away?
Somehow, we’re unsure. Chase has blinders on when it comes to Willow, and she’s in a unique position to take full advantage.
