‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Claims Breaking Her Sobriety Would Dishonor Sam’s Memory
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is taking the news the hardest. She recently had a heartfelt conversation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about the injustice of the situation.
Sonny was a compassionate and comforting shoulder to cry on as he can relate to what it feels like to lose a child.
Alexis has made it clear that breaking her sobriety would dishonor Sam’s memory. However, finding out that someone senselessly and cruelly killed your child’s life may be a dealbreaker.
Alexis may find herself struggling to maintain as she grapples with the unimaginable loss of her daughter.
Sonny will be able to understand even more when he learns that someone tried to kill his son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), with Digitalis, the same way Sam was murdered.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) must be brought to justice. He’s been going around General Hospital, killing otherwise healthy patients with fatal doses of Digitalis, causing one heart attack after the next.
Poor Sam was in the hospital recovering from surgery after saving someone’s life, and she was killed for her trouble.
We still don’t know what truly motivates Cyrus, but we do know he thinks he’s doing “the Lord’s work.” Perhaps he believes he’s some kind of special angel of death.
Alexis recently had to inform her other two daughters, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), that Sam’s death was no medical mistake but rather a fruitless act of violence. The devastation shatters the Davis family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Can Relate To The Pain Of Losing A Child
Alexis is in so much pain that it wouldn’t surprise us if she gave in and took a drink. We are hoping that’s not the case, but it’s entirely possible she could succumb to her old negative habits.
That being said, Alexis’s lifeline now appears to be Sonny, as he also cared for Sam and empathizes with what Alexis is going through.
Sonny will no doubt want vengeance for whoever attacked Michael in the hospital. We can see Sonny helping Alexis work through her grief. He shares his emotions about what happened to his other son. Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was also tragically killed in a senseless act of violence.
Sonny could help Alexis get sober or even prevent her from falling off the wagon altogether as they navigate her anguish and fury over losing her precious daughter because someone took her life. Having someone to talk to who can relate to your pain can be a powerful source of support.
We can only imagine how Sonny will react once the truth comes out. Cyrus is the one behind this string of murders. Michael came dangerously close to being one of his unfortunate victims.
Cyrus better watch his back. Sonny and Alexis, not to mention Sonny’s heartbroken son and Sam’s fiancée, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), won’t let Cyrus get away with murder.
