‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) is about to return to Port Charles soon, and we have a hunch he’s going to want to team up with his late father’s best friend, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), to bring Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) down.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny’s Kids and Ethan’s Family Were Targeted by Sidwell
GH spoilers indicate that early this coming week, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) will give Sonny a warning and let him know to watch his back when it comes to Sidwell.
Sidwell is much more dangerous than Sonny thinks. Once Justine has the chance to speak with Sonny, he’ll realize that Sidwell still thinks he killed Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and plans to seek revenge.
On Friday, April 17th, Ethan returns, and the buzz is that he’s out for revenge against Sidwell for holding his mom, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), and brother, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) hostage.
Sidwell also almost blew up Ethan’s half-sister, Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), and endangered the life of her then-unborn child.
On Sonny’s end, Sidwell is the reason that his son, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), was almost burned to death when Sidwell’s partner in crime, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), set off a firebomb in his old penthouse.
Plus, his daughter, Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi), was also almost killed in a fire at her place of business, Charlie’s. Sonny has good reason to want to free his family from the threat that Sidwell poses.
After Ethan catches up with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), he may pay Sonny a visit and offer his support in the mob boss’s plan to shut Sidwell down.
Right now, Sonny could use all the help he can get with Sidwell since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is gone, and he’s vulnerable to an attack.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Needs an Ally Who’s Willing to Take Risks
Sonny has his brother, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), but Ric has turned over a new leaf and most likely won’t want to get his hands dirty.
We can also expect that Ethan will reminisce with Sonny about Luke Spencer (Tony Geary). Luke is only one of the many people whom Sonny and Ethan have in common.
Sonny also wants his piers back, and since everyone in Port Charles is sick of the threat Sidwell poses, Ethan could also help Sonny reclaim his territory.
Ethan is an adventurer and a risk-taker, similar to Jason, so it’s not hard to imagine Ethan sliding into Jason’s place while he’s off in prison somewhere.
Sonny desperately needs an ally who is willing to take some risks to gain the upper hand over Sidwell, and Ethan fits the bill.
Ethan wants his family to be safe, and with Sidwell running Port Charles, no one can have a moment’s peace. Not to mention, over half the town is under Sidwell’s thumb.
We have to wonder what plans Ethan and Sonny will cook up for Sidwell. Sonny has softened since he first arrived in Port Charles.
However, Sonny is also a fierce and valiant protector of his family and isn’t about to tolerate Sidwell’s intimidation any longer.
Sonny is in danger of a violent attack from Sidwell, who single-mindedly blames him for Marco’s tragic death. If Sonny must kill or strike first to keep his kids from harm, so be it.
