‘General Hospital’ Spoilers love a good plot twist, but this one doesn’t feel unexpected at all.

It’s been a while since we saw Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) before he returned last week. He quickly stepped into things by stepping forward to protect Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Unfortunately for him, it was against Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

This feels like an obvious telegraph of Kevin being killed off. It won’t be because he’s in Jenz’s way, but because Laura will be difficult.

She’ll try to resist Jenz’s instructions and that will lead to Kevin being killed to send a message.

There’s plenty of reason storyline wise and otherwise to do this, but should they?

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jon has another gig

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers love the actor, and Jon is hitting it out of the park as casino owner Joey Armstrong on ‘Beyond the Gates’.

Joey is a cool mix of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Kevin, and even Kevin’s evil twin Ryan Chamberlain.

We’re not sure of the timing, but ‘Beyond the Gates’ shoots roughly nine months ahead, and we think that coincided with his time away from ‘General Hospital’.

Jon has even said he’s busier than he’s ever been and will be happy to play Kevin anything the ‘GH’ writers’ call.

But with the current storyline with Laura being blackmailed into doing Jenz’s wishes, it gives the writers the perfect chance to kill him off.

It’ll horrify Laura and come pretty close to destroying her, but it’ll also galvanize her into standing up to him. She won’t care what she loses after that as long as Jenz goes down.

It’d also solve the problem of not having Kevin around as much. He was gone for a while, but he’s also a fan favorite. This could be an interesting decision.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Holding Kevin hostage?

Instead of killing Kevin off, Jenz could simply abduct him and hold him hostage.

This would give him extra leverage over Laura, and in his mind make her obey him more. After all, who wouldn’t do what they could to save their husband or wife?

It’d really ramp up the emotions as Laura will be stuck coming and going. She’s already in deep with Sonny and will have to continue relying on him to handle everything else.

She’ll be boxed in and desperate, and it’ll open up so many opportunities for her to figure her way out of it.

With Kevin’s life hanging over her head, she’ll tow the line more carefully than otherwise, and that will make things really interesting and fun.

Should the show kill Kevin off? Let us know in the comments below.
