‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) New Year’s Eve kiss may change everything for them. All we have to say is it’s about time.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt Reached Out to Jason and Let Her Guard Down
Britt and Jason have been dancing around each other since July, when Britt resurfaced at the Five Poppies resort in Croatia. He encouraged her to return to Port Charles.
Since then, the pair have exchanged longing looks, shared close conversations, and thrown some serious sparks. Finally, in the December 30th episode of GH, they succumbed to their feelings for each other and shared a sweet kiss.
It was absolutely perfect. It was also a special day for Britt since it was her birthday and the anniversary of her “death.” She didn’t want to be alone. Britt has always tried to be independent and self-reliant, but the walls are starting to come down.
Britt has spent a lot of time keeping Jason at arms -length. She has hesitated to really open up to him. Her fear is that Jason won’t put her first, which is understandable considering he once dumped her to marry Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
At the time, the pair were headed toward romance, but Jason’s marriage to Carly kept them from pursuing a real relationship. Now, they are free to explore their connection and pick up where they left off years ago.
Jason also knows that Britt is in trouble, and he wants to help her. She’s working for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) on Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project.
She was forced into doing Sidwell’s bidding in exchange for her Huntington’s medication that keeps her illness in remission. Sidwell blackmailed her into submission.
Jason had to give her the Huntington’s medication one night when Britt drank too many margaritas at the Brown Dog. He stayed with her until he knew she was okay.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Could Help Britt Break Free of Sidwell
Jason has even offered to help her by taking her medicine to someone he trusts who has connections to a top medical facility. His goal was to have the medicine analyzed so he could obtain a long-term supply for her.
However, he would only do it on one condition: she shared the details of her employer and what was being demanded of her. He wants to give Britt a long-term solution and a way out of the danger she’s in with Sidwell and free her from his grasp.
That kiss may prompt Britt to tell Jason the truth so he can help her. It could be the turning point in their relationship, the moment they need to take their feelings to the next level.
Britt and Jason have chemistry in spades, and the soap has been taking their time, allowing their slow-burn to build up and potentially grow into something real.
If Jason helps Britt take her life back, perhaps Britt can help him let go and have some fun. Jason’s stability and serious nature balance out Britt’s free-spirited, passionate, and comedic personality.
We would like to see Jason have fun and laugh more. He’s had a tough year, and Britt could be really good for him. If that kiss is any indication, they have a lot of unfinished business between them.
