‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) may soon reclaim his daughter, Pheobe, from Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Ethan and Delilah Likely Shared More than a Casual Partnership
In the May 5th episode of GH, Ethan went to the pier and called his partner, the late Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone), and left a message. He was concerned that she failed to meet up with him.
We still don’t know the extent of his relationship with Delilah, but we’re willing to bet that Ethan is the father of baby Pheobe, as we predicted before Ethan arrived in Port Charles.
Later on, Ethan stopped by the Quartermaine mansion and visited Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Ethan told Tracy the real reason why he came to town was to meet with his partner.
Suddenly, Tracy had to leave to tend to a horse emergency, and Brook Lynn and Chase kept Ethan company. They introduced him to their foster baby, Phoebe, and explained that they were preparing to adopt her.
The couple told him the story of how they became Phebe’s foster parents, and Ethan appeared visibly uncomfortable when they revealed the name of the baby’s birth mother: Delilah Wilson.
Ethan may not have even known that Delilah was pregnant. After all, Delilah was so hesitant to go to the hospital, even when she was clearly having severe pregnancy cramps.
However, once Brook Lynn and Chase managed to convince her to let them drive her to GH, Delilah had to have an emergency C-section, and sadly, she passed away.
Brook Lynn resolved to care for Phoebe until they could find the baby a good home. However, the pair has already fallen in love with Pheobe and plans to raise her themselves.
Brook Lynn and Chase are Potentially on the Cusp of Having Marital Issues
Yet, something tells us that Ethan may not be able to walk away from his own child. He has to know somehow that Phoebe belongs to him.
It may turn out that Ethan overhears Brook Lynn and Tracy discussing their cover-up of the fact that Brook Lynn had been driving the night Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) crashed.
Tracy has repeatedly warned Brook Lynn not to go to the PCPD or even to share this with her husband, Chase. However, if Ethan finds out, would he use that information to blackmail Brook Lynn and Chase into giving Pheobe back to him?
The situation is so touchy. Of course, Chase may also blow his chances of adopting Pheobe if Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) decides to follow through with his plan to set Chase and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) to have an affair.
The scandal could break up Brook Lynn and Chase, meaning a stable, happy couple would no longer be able to adopt Pheobe. Could Brook Lynn ever forgive Michael for coming between her and her husband?
Plus, with the father of the baby willing to raise the child, it would undoubtedly be a slam dunk for him should they go to court to fight for custody.
Sadly, poor Brook Lynn would be heartbroken to give up this child, whom she clearly already loves with her whole heart.
Whichever way it all goes, Brook Lynn’s world may soon be turned upside down without so much as a gentle warning.
