General Hospital spoilers suggest that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) may ask Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to marry him before Josslyn Jack’s (Eden McCoy) secret comes out.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan And Carly Recently Discussed Their Future Together
In the July 21st episode of GH, Brennan opened up a bottle of bubbly as he and Carly dipped their feet into the pool at the Metro Court.
The couple discussed their relationship, and Jack said that he hoped he and Carly would have a future together. Brennan may not be ready to pop the question just yet, but he’s likely contemplated it.
Their chat by the pool could speed up the timeline, especially since Jack feels he’s finally found someone with whom he can have both a serious romance and a career with the WSB.
Speaking of the WSB, Carly isn’t yet aware that her new man has recruited Joss to become a spy. When she finds out about Joss’s new career path, she’ll no doubt blow a gasket.
The timing is curious, as Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) have recently discovered that Joss is an agent.
Anna knows better than anyone what the spy world entails. She also knows that Joss has no idea what she’s gotten herself into with Brennan. As a former spy herself, she understands the sacrifices involved in working for the WSB.
Dante and Anna both know that Joss’s appearance at the airport with Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) isn’t random. Joss and Vaughn’s mission is to target Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard).
As Dante monitored the security footage, their ruse was clear. Joss and Vaughn staged a pretend goodbye.
Vaughn distracted Dalton’s courier by flirting with her while Joss snuck by and slipped a tracker into her bag.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Proposing Marriage Would Increase The Stakes
Prior to them spotting Joss and Vaughn carrying out their mission for the WSB, Anna questioned Carly about Joss’s relationship with Vaughn.
Anna also shocked Carly by telling her that, at one point, Joss was fixated on bringing down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for the murder of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Carly will soon learn that not only is Joss in the WSB, but she also killed Cyrus in self-defense after Jack provided her with clues which led to her uncovering the truth.
After Joss killed Cyrus, Jack covered it up and convinced her she’d make the ideal agent for the WSB. Apparently, Anna knows Brennan in a way others don’t.
She was quick to realize he worked the “justice angle” with Joss after Dex’s murder. Joss wanted to work with Brennan so that she could make the bad guys pay and get justice.
When Carly discovers Joss’s secret, she’ll be furious with Jack for lying to her and putting her daughter in danger. In the meantime, Joss is forced to live a lie.
If Brennan proposes to Carly before that happens, it will increase the stakes as it’s only a matter of time before she finds out.
Not only that, if Jack asks Carly to marry him, it could make her realize that she’s head over heels in love with him.
Unfortunately, it looks like Carly will learn the hard way that everyone who warned her about Brennan was right.
