‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that some fans predict there will be yet another hurdle for newly reunited BFFs Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to go through. The two ladies may soon find themselves competing in a torrid love triangle.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nina And Ric Share A Tumultuous History
While Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) wants to rekindle his relationship with long-ago love, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), he doesn’t stand a chance when Lucky Spencer (Johnathan Jackson) comes back to Port Charles. But Nina and Ava are free agents with no first loves waiting in the wings.
Nina has a tumultuous history with Ric. He schemed to get Nina to marry him so that he could get a hold of her money. He not only duped Nina, but he was also conspiring with her mom, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), and sleeping with her the entire time.
When this happened, Nina was played by Michelle Stafford. It would be interesting to see a storyline with Nina and Ric, as we can see Hearst and Watros have some chemistry together.
In a recent discussion with Soap Opera Digest, Hearst discussed how the two were both on Guiding Light. Hearst played Alan-Michael Spaulding, and Watros played Annie Dutton.
They never got to work together, but he expressed interest in potentially sharing scenes with her. A romantic storyline could be their chance.
A fun idea would be to add Ava into the mix. Ric represented Ava’s brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry), when he had legal trouble.
When Nina asked Ric to be Ava’s lawyer, he claimed it was a conflict of interest and said no initially. He later agreed to take her case.
However, he did warn her that if he found out Ava was the reason why Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) lost the baby she was carrying for his daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), he’d bury her.
’General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava And Ric Are Both Power-hungry
Ric and Ava would work well together, as the two of them are both power-hungry, and they would make a formidable power couple. Not to mention, if Ric got involved with Ava and Nina, it would drive his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), crazy.
Ava and Nina’s friendship hit a bit of a pothole earlier this year, as they were both vying for Sonny’s attention. Ava is the catalyst for Nina to agree to divorce Sonny finally.
It would make for an entertaining twist if Ava and Nina became romantically entangled with Ric. Truth be told, Ava and Nina are the ultimate “frenemies.” This is partly why a triangle with them would make perfect sense. Like Nina and Ric, Ava and Nina share a complicated history. At the very least, it would interfere with the “fresh start” they decided to have in their relationship.
If one pursues Ric while the other is interested, it would create some very soapy drama. Ultimately, we would want to see Ava and Nina repair their friendship. However, watching them compete for the same man’s affection in the meantime would be entertaining. Either way, Ric is poised to make trouble in Port Charles.
