‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) and Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) love/hate relationship and newfound bond are pure gold.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tracy and Martin Had an Honest Talk
The setup was perfect. Tracy wanted to go to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house to retrieve the family heirlooms that Drew stole from her.
What she encountered was unexpected and a fun surprise: Martin was squatting at Drew’s house while he was in the hospital.
Of course, when they came face to face, there was their usual back-and-forth banter and quips at each other’s expense.
However, once Tracy asked, “Why do you hate me so much?” It was like the dam broke, and a river of truth poured out.
Martin told Tracy that she ruined his life. He brought up how it all started when she told him that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was cheating on him with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
Lucy actually wasn’t unfaithful at first, but when Martin accused her of it, Lucy got all huffy and ended up taking a literal “roll in the hay” with Scotty.
“Shouldn’t you be thanking me?” Tracy asked. She also amusingly pointed out that the only meaningful relationship Lucy has had was with a duck named Sigmond (For newer viewers, look that up because it’s spot-on!)
Martin and Tracy fell into a conversation about their exes, and Tracy told Martin that he had a distinct type: beautiful women who all want to take him for every penny he has!
It’s obvious that although these two have a complicated history of scheming against each other for revenge, there are some sparks there.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tracy and Martin Could Join Forces to Destroy Drew
Tracy and Martin could be a very entertaining pair, and even if nothing romantic happens between them, they would make quite a formidable team.
We can imagine them joining forces to take down Drew once and for all. Tracy shared with Martin how Drew left her son, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), to die while he was having a heart attack at Bobbie’s.
Martin was shocked, as he had no idea. Tracy and Martin, allied to destroy Drew, would undoubtedly work.
Drew trusts Martin because he’s his lawyer. Martin is only in it for the paycheck. Drew mistakenly believes that he’ll remain loyal to him because Martin is on his payroll.
However, Martin may realize that teaming up with Tracy could benefit him. As a bonus, it would impress his sister, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
He knows that Laura hasn’t been thrilled with some of the stunts Martin has pulled against Tracy, especially forging Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charlson) will to say that the Quartermaine family mansion belonged to Monica’s sister, Ronnie Bard (Erica Slezak).
It was very cruel of Martin to do that for the sole purpose of seeking revenge on Tracy. After all, Tracy was the natural choice to inherit the mansion after Monica passed and is now the matriarch of the family.
That said, if Martin were to help Tracy take down Drew, it would earn him redemption. Hey, if romance isn’t in the cards for Martin and Tracy, it would definitely be fun to watch them take down Drew together.
Most importantly, Tracy and Martin may realize they are strongest when they are on the same side.
