‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) must be the next Quartermaine matriarch and lead the new generation of the Q family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tracy Knows Something Is Wrong With Monica’s Will
Tracy is the only one truly looking out for the Quartermaine family’s best interests. She knew immediately, once Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) will was read, that something was very wrong.
Why would Monica leave the house her late husband, Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon), so generously gifted her to her so-called “cherished sister of her heart,” Veronica Bard (Erika Slezak)?
It was apparent only to Tracy that this had “scam” written all over it. Tracy would never allow that house to be given to an “interloper.”
We wonder if Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is behind this. He seemed very interested to learn that Monica had a sister.
For years, Tracy has kept her eyes and ears open when it comes to “sudden family members” who show up with insinuations or claims that they have the right to a piece of the Quartermaine pie.
In 1980, Tracy boldly withheld Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) heart medication unless he didn’t sign his new will, which didn’t include her.
As Edward suddenly burst into laughter, Tracy realized it was a test, and she failed. Tracy used to be a major schemer, but she evolved into a true Quartermaine, fiercely loyal to her family.
While it made perfect sense for Tracy to be disinherited from Edward’s will, the idea that she wouldn’t receive anything from Monica’s will except a jar of Lila’s pickle relish is illogical.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tracy Is The Perfect Blend Of Edward And Lila
Monica and Tracy became very close after years of sparring. Monica and Tracy had a rich history together, and Monica shared everything with her. There is simply no way Monica would disinherit her.
Tracy also has the perfect blend of Edward and Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) personalities. She possesses the no-nonsense ruthlessness of Edward but secretly has the softness of Lila.
Deep down, Tracy has a heart of gold. She looks out for the Quartermaine children and the extended family’s children. She may sometimes be a bit overbearing and bossy, but she means well.
Her relationships with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) are a joy to watch.
Tracy always gives Brook Lynn the very best advice and is as devoted to her granddaughter as the day is long. It’s obvious that Brook Lynn adores and admires her granny. Tracy and Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) are also wonderful together.
Tracy’s relationship with Ned is also very natural. They have adorable banter, and Ned can always count on Tracy’s candor and sarcastic wit.
Not to mention, Tracy’s friendship with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is refreshing and warm. They haven’t known each other for a long time, but they definitely have each other’s backs and a special bond.
We can’t wait to see how Tracy gets along with the adorable and loveable “stray” canine, Outback, who’s staying with Cody in the stables.
Don’t get it twisted: we love Erika Slezak and she’s doing a wonderful job as Monica’s long-lost sister, Veronica Bard. But Tracy is the quintessential Quartermaine family matriarch, and we don’t believe for a second that Monica would have it any other way.
