‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that out of all Sonny Corinthos’s children, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is best suited to take over the mob for her father.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Kristina Refused To Testify Against Her Father
Despite Kristina’s shock and horror watching Sonny beat the living snot out of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), she wasn’t willing to testify against Sonny for Ava Jerome (Maura West) at their custody hearing, as to what she saw the night Sonny attacked Dex.
Kristina confronted Ava in her hotel suite at the Metro Court over the subpoena that cost her the baby she was carrying for her sister, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Ava tried to grab Kristina’s arm, and the mob boss’s pregnant daughter tripped over a bag on the floor and crashed through the window, falling three stories and falling into the pool.
Despite the incident being an accident, Kristina wanted to assign the blame squarely on Ava’s shoulders. She decided to take Ava to court to charge her for the death of her baby girl.
Sonny’s brother, hotshot lawyer Ric Lansing (Rick Heart), obliterated Kristina on the stand. He suggested that she was the one to blame for the death of her own child. Ultimately, Ava was found not guilty and walked out of the courtroom as a free woman.
In a bone-chilling scene between Kristina and Sonny, before the verdict was read in court, she expressed her desire to achieve vengeance against Ava, and she explained that her need to see Ava punished was her reason for getting out of bed every day.
Sonny responded,
“The desire for revenge and thirst for justice is a hell of a motivator. But if that’s what’s gonna keep your head above water, I’m not gonna tell you to move away from it.”
He then whispered,
“I’m gonna tell you to embrace it.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Encouraged His Daughter’s Thirst For Revenge
Kristina asked what would happen if Ava was found not guilty. Sonny answered, telling her that if the system failed her, he wouldn’t, implying that he’d kill Ava for Kristina.
Kristina never reminded us more of her father at that moment. As Sonny encouraged his daughter’s thirst for revenge, she looked relieved and satisfied that he understood. Kristina, in turn, appreciates how far Sonny will go to protect his family, even though he kills for a living.
Kristina knows that Ava didn’t push her. However, like her father, she decided vengeance was the way to get justice for her child.
Not to mention, when Molly didn’t want to pursue Kristina’s dark path, Kristina coldly hit her sister with the fact that she was never “Adela’s” mother.
In addition, Sonny asked her to work for him at Corinthos Coffee. However, since Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) went back to Nixon Falls, Kristina is now running Charlie’s bar for Sonny.
Kristina may come to embrace her inner “mob princess” and eventually take over her father’s business. Right now, she’s impulsive and stubborn and doesn’t know how to control her anger. However, with time and her father’s guidance, we can see her eventually taking Sonny’s place. Sonny may have said he doesn’t want to see any of his children follow in his footsteps, but in Kristina, he’s discovered the ultimate protégé.
