‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) has an agenda. He came to Port Charles with a mission in mind.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Was Charmed By Carly From Their First Meeting
Brennan somehow was magically busted out of prison and is back to work as the head of the WSB. He may have been recruited to return to his position because the WSB and FBI wanted to sever ties with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) and his joke of an investigation into Pikeman Security Group.
Brennan was initially relocated to Washington. He was ready to start again and return to his former glory before his stint at Pentonville. That being said, he didn’t count on meeting someone like Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). From the first moment he met her, he was smitten. It can’t be a coincidence that he “just so happened” to land a job working for the WSB in Port Charles.
Carly and Jack met at Bobbie’s last year and immediately hit it off. He came into Bobbie’s for a burger, and they flirted a little. They had a few run-ins, and it was apparent there were sparks.
Recently, Carly went to Brennan for advice about the predicament she and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) were in with Agent Cates. He was quite helpful and gave her sound advice. Miraculously, the evidence against Carly was removed, and we know Jack was responsible.
We think Brennan’s only motive with Carly is to wine and dine her, but he may have different ideas for former super spy and WSB agent Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Former Super-Spy Anna Against The WSB
Anna has said she doesn’t trust Jack and wonders why he chose to return to Port Charles. When probed by Anna, he didn’t reveal much, but Anna suspects he’s up to no good.
Brennan may be working behind the scenes to take down Anna. The WSB ended its long-standing association with Anna over her ties to DVX, and she’s been making their job a nightmare ever since.
It’s because of Anna that the WSB’s role in the Pikeman weapons scandal was revealed. She also warned Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that the FBI was coming to arrest him. He evaded justice and took off with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlet Fernandez).
The WSB could have been after him, too. Therefore, Brennan may be gunning for Anna. Brennan could also be after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), as that’s how his character was introduced.
If you recall the Metro Court shooting a couple of years back, he originally wanted to kill Sonny and Anna. We still don’t know the connection Brennan has to Sonny, as it seems like the writers dropped that storyline long ago.
But it would be interesting if Brennan wanted to destroy Sonny and his criminal empire while simultaneously courting Carly. It would get very interesting very quickly if that were the case.
This scenario would obviously make Carly conflicted, especially if she fell for the handsome and charming Aussie. He could sweep her off her feet.
It would be fun to see where Carly’s relationship with Brennan goes and if he’s genuinely worthy of Ms. Spencer’s affections.
