‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) is one smooth operator. He is handsome, dashing, and full of Aussie charm.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan And Carly Have An Undeniable Chemistry
The minute Brennan was featured in scenes with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), we saw how explosive their chemistry was. Brennan was obviously interested in Carly’s ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). However, we couldn’t get enough of Brennan and Carly’s natural flirtation with each other.
When Carly interacts with Jack, she’s relaxed and happy, which is appealing to watch. We all know it was Brennan who mysteriously removed the evidence on the recording. The recording where Carly declared she was the new head of the Corinthos empire when Sonny was presumed dead.
Carly was facing prison time before Jack was miraculously sprung out of Pentonville and resumed his position as the head of the WSB.
It was interesting to watch the recent scenes in which Jack showed up at the Metro Court and tried to wine and dine Carly until they were rudely interrupted by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who barged into Jack and Carly’s date to ask Brennan why he was in Port Charles.
When Anna saw Jack and Carly sitting at the table, she was suspicious. Once Carly excused herself from the room so that Anna could grill Brennan, Jack told Anna that she had ruined everyone’s evening.
He explained to Anna that Port Charles had become a beacon of crime, and he was assigned there to help put a stop to it. He also mentioned that since he “happened” to stay in the hotel, he wanted to be on good terms with the owner.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna And Jack Have A Fun Spark
Anna is no dummy. She was quick to realize Brennan was the one who eliminated the evidence that Carly had committed RICO violations. She called him on it, and asked him about his interest in Carly.
Did we detect a hint of jealousy in Anna when Brennan clarified that his interest in Carly was personal? Anna and Jack go way back, as they worked together for the WSB in the past, so they have a history.
In addition to Brennan’s flirtatious dynamic with Carly, he has an intriguing cat-and-mouse situation with Anna. They keep sniping at each other, but it could also be an inconvenient attraction.
Anna and Brennan also have an impeccable chemistry. Both women seem to click with him. It would be a shame not to put Carly and Anna in a triangle to see who would end up with Jack. The soapy potential in that scenario is endless.
Anna wants to know how Brennan and Carly are connected and why he would be motivated to put himself on the line to delete FBI evidence against her. Jack is nothing if not resourceful.
Hopefully, he’s crushing on Carly so much that he would feel compelled to make the incriminating recording magically disappear.
However, it may be more complicated than that. It would be interesting if Jack has or had an agenda but ends up falling for her. We want to know more about Brennan. Exploring a love triangle with Brennan, Carly, and Anna would be a good start.
