‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Nathan West (Ryan Paevy) returned to Port Charles in September with no memory of the past seven years.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan’s Missing Years Are a Big Mystery
He woke up after a car accident, and there is a big mystery surrounding the truth about what really happened and where he was.
We have to wonder what’s really going on here. For starters, Nathan practically worshipped Maxie Jones (Kirsten Jones).
Wouldn’t he have tried even a little to fight for the love of his life? He also never visited her once while she was in a coma.
Her choosing Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) may prove that this man may not even be Nathan at all. Nathan himself may not even realize that he’s not really Nathan.
Not to mention, Nathan didn’t even stop by Maxie’s coming home party. Instead, he was at the PCPD questioning a possible suspect.
Then, he went to visit his own grave, which had been empty. At some point, Nathan had been buried in his coffin, but someone obviously took him out of it.
We have no idea what transpired or how Nathan was exhumed from his grave. Plus, he was obviously resurrected. None of this has been explained as of yet.
When Maxie arrived at the gravesite, she and Nathan saw each other for the first time in 7 years, it wasn’t exactly a romantic reunion as fans thought it would be.
Frankly, the former couple seeing each other for the first time in years at Nathan’s grave was actually kind of disappointing. Given the strength of their bond, Maxie and Nathan’s reaction to each other was underwhelming.
Instead, Maxie rushed to choose Spinelli, without taking any time to weigh her options. Plus, Nathan was acting very unlike Nathan.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan Can’t Be Peter or Faison, But Is He Really Nathan?
However, we don’t think it’s Peter August (Wes Ramsey). If it were Peter, he would be fighting tooth and nail for Maxie, and of course, not taking no for an answer.
Peter would be aggressively pursuing Maxie, perhaps planning to kill Spinelli, and he definitely wouldn’t be able to conceal his rabid obsession to save his own life.
We don’t think this person is Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), because that would be super weird. Given Nathan’s interest in pursuing Lulu Spencer (Alex Havins Breuning), it doesn’t seem likely.
On the other hand, maybe it is Nathan after all. Could he have been held prisoner by someone like Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) or even a not-so-dead Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)?
Was he in stasis or “kept on ice” like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and then brought back to life? Something about this whole situation doesn’t make any sense.
We need some kind of explanation here. So far, GH has only explained how Nathan’s sister, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thieabud), managed to cheat death, yet not much is known about Nathan’s seven- year absence.
Until then, fans won’t be convinced this is really Nathan, especially since when Nathan and Maxie saw each other again, there was no running in slow motion toward each other or any kissing. It was actually rather anti-climactic.
Maxie spared no effort in picking Spinelli and their blended family, and fans are wondering if there is another reason behind it other than the fact that Spinelli is a wonderful guy.
