‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kuth) has had a lot of his plate. Between the holiday return of Tracy Quatermaine (Jane Elliot), the drama Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) return has caused, and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) needing to step away from ELQ, there’s a lot to handle. Recently, he was forced to make a hard call regarding his daughter’s situation. But did he make the right one? And how might this impact Monday’s action? Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Raw deal
Everyone knew Brook Lynn had to have ulterior motives for her return. Ned became more convinced after learning she’d fired her mother as a manager and signed with some new guy. Not only that, but she had no gigs lined up for a while. This situation was screaming, “something’s up”. But Brook Lynn was too busy baiting Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and taking credit for the Thanksgiving save. Recently, though, we learned what might have brought her back home.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Happy New Year?
While Port Charles prepared to ring in 2020, Brook Lynn was ready to talk. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she finally revealed what the catch was. It seems this producer she signed with expects certain favors before she gets studio time, or gigs. She told Ned all about it at a New Year’s Eve party. Then, she went in for the kill. After laying out how horrible this guy is, she asked for help getting out of the deal. Unfortunately, she should’ve thought twice before asking.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: No hope
Ned humored her in this by having Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) come by to look at the contract. It seems Brook Lynn didn’t inherit that Quartermaine savvy, because the deal is iron-clad. And she failed to get a lawyer to look at it before signing on the dotted line. Brook Lynn got called out for that, but Diane did have a thought. The Quartermaine money would be a sure-thing in buying out her contract.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Ned was less than receptive to that idea. He figured that if Brook Lynn got herself into a mess like this by being irresponsible, he’s not going to buy her out. He also pointed out that paying this guy off might start a chain reaction. He thinks one has to be strong and refuse to cave, or you’ll be paying everyone and their brother off. Brook Lynn was furious. But was he right?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Our take
We definitely see his logic. At some point, people have to learn to be responsible for their own business. That means not signing deals like that without a lawyer’s okay. It also means not expecting to be bailed out every time you’re in a mess. Ned’s right to teach her that lesson. But we do think there’s something he could do. Given Brook Lynn will have an announcement on Monday, January 13th, we’d hope this topic will be addressed again. This time, we hope he’ll at least send a lawyer her way to deal with the harassment issue.
