‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly May Regret Her Decision to Take Nina’s Job at Crimson
Rumors are swirling that Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are about to split up. Drew is clearly trying to coerce Carly to drop her simple yet admirable dream of running Bobbie’s diner. His goal is her being the editor-in-chief of Crimson, working with him instead.
There is a great possibility that this will be the downfall of “Darly.” Carly tried to explain to Drew that she didn’t know how to run a magazine and had her heart set on running Bobbie’s.
However, Drew coerced her into taking the job at Crimson with the intent of leaving her job at her beloved mother’s diner and taking Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) position at the magazine.
Drew has been incredibly pushy lately. He tried to force his daughter, Scout Cain (Cosette Abinate), to go to a new school when she clearly didn’t want to leave where she was.
He made this decision without consulting the other parent, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Even though Drew and Sam worked things out, Drew still behaves strangely out of character compared to his ordinarily easygoing “good guy” personality.
Drew’s sudden personality disorder could seriously get in the way of his romance with Carly. She won’t put up with a partner who is kind and understanding one minute and cold and calculated the next.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny and Nina Are Headed for Splitsville
Sonny, whose marriage to Nina has imploded due to her betrayal, will soon be free. He will pursue other options if he decides that fighting for his marriage isn’t worth it.
Nina went too far when she almost had Sonny’s baby mama sent to jail. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that Nina ratting out Carly and Drew would backfire. Sonny will do anything to protect his family, including leaving a woman he feels love for.
Another factor in this is that Nina is on the warpath, seeking revenge on Carly and Drew. Revenge is not a good look on Nina, and every time she goes after it, she winds up hurting the people who love her the most. She never seems to learn from her mistakes.
Of course, Carly is Sonny’s ride or die forever, and they are bound to find their way back to each other. They were married four times and had their vows renewed three times.
Sonny and Carly share children and have been together on and off since 1999 when Sarah Brown played the role. He understands Carly in a way that no one else does, and she lets Sonny be himself.
The two of them have a significant history and will end up circling each other until they give in to their true feelings.
Spoilers suggest that Sonny and Nina are headed for divorce. Nina isn’t about to give Sonny up so quickly, though. The soon-to-be former Mrs. Corinthos may fight him until she realizes Sonny is still in love with Carly.
