‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love it when the worst father of the year candidate and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) lap dog Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) continues teaching his masterclass on hypocrisy.
It’s like the writers want us to hate him, and the actor does a tremendous job selling it, so we’re buying in.
There are so many subtle things that have been happening since Drew and Carly became a couple that undermines him in nearly every regard, yet no one ever calls him out for it in the show.
Instead, they all line up to feel for him and prop him up.
Maybe they’re afraid of Carly?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – He can’t help himself
Drew was a fun character and at one point he had great potential, but for a while now he’s been a shadow of what he was and ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers are wondering if they’re setting things up for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)’s return by breaking Drew down.
There are theories that Jason’s memories could be messing with him, and given some of his hypocritical reactions it’s the only thing that makes sense.
His latest hypocritical moment came curtesy of Carly updating him on Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) and her friend Adam Wright (Joshua James Benard)’s suicide attempt.
He was in shock that parents would put so much pressure on their kids. While we get what he said, the fact he gave his daughter night terrors by putting her into a new school without asking her first came to mind.
Not to mention how he was willing to give away her financial future to bail out Carly, then took the fall for Carly and abandoned her, and followed that by always going to Carly first when he was released and got back into town.
Sure, Drew, tell us more about being a great parent.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Is insulted Michael choose family over him
The best part for ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers was when he was so insulted that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) chose his father’s happiness over their friendship.
Seriously? He’s mad because Michael chose Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over him?
Drew just keeps digging deeper and deeper, and we’re really starting to wonder if the writers are planning on having him so damaged that when Jason comes back he loses his mind.
It’d be a great segue into Jason’s old memories surfacing and his psyche fighting against it, though how that’ll be possible when they were supposed to be removed will be interesting.
Or maybe the writers just hate the character and want him to be weak and whiney for Carly.
