‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that it looks like Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will die on the operating table, saving Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havens).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sam Was Shocked And Happy She Can Save Lulu
Sam made clear she intended to get tested. However, we didn’t hear anything about it until the GH episode that aired on October 15th.
Sam has had a lot of family drama lately. She’s had to play referee between her two feuding sisters, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Imagine Sam’s surprise when she got the call from Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) from General Hospital, asking her to come to the hospital as soon as she could.
Thinking it was news about Kristina, she and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) rushed to GH. She met with Dr. Randolph while he was visiting Lulu.
Sam entered Terry’s office, and the doctor explained that she was a match for Lulu. Dr. Randolph told Sam she would need to conduct follow-up tests. To further prove she was good to go for the liver transplant surgery. She learned she was a viable donor.
Dante and Sam shared a beautiful moment in which they were thankful Sam could help Lulu. However, it will come at a cost. Something will go wrong during the operation, and Sam will perish during or after the procedure.
The show has foreshadowed Sam’s upcoming death with hidden messages peppered throughout recent episodes. During a conversation with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) discussed previously having a medical practice but packing up and leaving after surgery went south.
“I walked away from my practice,”
He told her.
“There was a surgery that didn’t go as planned, I mean, you learn in med school that sometimes people die on the table. It’s a fact of the job.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sam’s Tragic Ending Will Leave Dante Devastated
Isaiah’s story foreshadows how Sam is being killed off. Isaiah also had another conversation with Lucky Spencer (Johnathan Jackson), who warned him that there were significant risks for both parties during the transplant process.
Prior to this, we all thought Sam would die diving for the gun Alexis Davis threw over the footbridge. However, that gun surfaced at the PCPD last week, so now there’s no need for Sam to dive into those dangerous waters and drown.
Instead, the show appears to be preparing Sam to die on the operating table after complications during surgery. This will forever leave a hole in Dante’s heart.
It’s the ultimate sacrifice that Sam is making, as Dante will lose his current love to the woman he loved first. It’s tragically ironic, considering that Lulu has been in a coma for almost four years.
This tragic ending will also leave Sam’s kids without a mother. We have a feeling that Lulu will be racked with guilt and may feel like she owes it to Sam to step up and help raise Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinate).
It’s a shame that we have to lose Sam to save Lulu, and as she wakes up after all is said and done, how will she feel knowing Sam died to save her?
