‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) clearly didn’t know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to be a surrogate for her sister, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and her “domestic partner,” T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Kristina Lost Her Baby After An Accident
Not only was she a surrogate for the couple, but she was also the egg donor. She obviously couldn’t have been more attached to the baby if she tried.
Kristina started the journey with the intention of giving the baby up to Molly once she gave birth. But her plans changed once she realized she couldn’t go through with it.
She said it was because she was concerned Molly and T.J. might break up. However, we know how much Kristina grew to love that baby.
One fateful morning, she confronted Ava Jerome (Maura West) because she had subpoenaed Kristina to testify against her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), in court. Ava and Sonny were embroiled in a custody battle for their daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Kristina and Ava got into it, and both women were getting fired up. Ava reached out to grab Kristina, and the mother-to-be yelled, “Get off me!” as she tripped on John “Jagger” Cates’s (Adam Harrington) bag and fell backward, crashing through the window at the Metro Court Hotel.
She plummeted five flights and landed in the pool. Kristina almost died, and her little girl did die. Kristina was devastated. She’s grieving and isn’t thinking clearly.
This lack of clarity is why we suspect she may try to have another baby. She misses the closeness she felt having a tiny living being growing inside her and the maternal feelings she had for that one special child.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Kristina Wants To Be Whole Again
Kristina was already in love with her daughter before she was born. If Kristina believes the only thing that can make her feel whole is to become pregnant again, she may decide it would be worth it to seek out a one-night stand.
Fans know Kristina broke up with her girlfriend, Blaze (aka Allison Rogers, played by Jacqueline Grace Lopez), before she was discharged from the hospital after she fell.
She said she wanted Blaze to go on tour with Miguel Morez (Ricky Martin) but was pushing Blaze away.
Like a sinking ship, Kristina wanted Blaze to get off before the talented singer drowned with her. She had no idea how she would navigate her grief and felt she had nothing left to give.
Kristina could go out and find someone with no intention of being a father, and they won’t know that she has her heart set on getting pregnant.
She could meet someone at a bar and have a couple of drinks, leading up to a one-night stand to produce another baby.
Kristina is a creative person, and if she wants to have another baby, she’ll find a way that’s the easiest, quickest route. She’s in pain, and all she longs for is to carry a child again.
Kristina doesn’t want to wait or think it through. She desperately wants to feel the mother-child bond again and have a baby she can love that only belongs to her.
