There was a time when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was one of ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers’ favorite characters and we had high hopes when his return was teased. And now, well, he’s fallen to the dark side in a big way.
While he’s still touted as the greatest and kindest guy ever, he’s proving anything but, and in a lot of ways he’s been coming across as not really caring about his daughter for a while now.
Sure, we could focus on him doing some maneuvering to get Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) without consulting with her mother, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who only raised her for years, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
He’s in his own world and needs an intervention or Sam needs to find a way to take legal action to keep him from sweeping Scout into his hypocrisy.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Following the lead of his queen
Ever since he returned, Drew has been a lap dog to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and that’s the nicest way to put it. He’s been all about her and that would normally be fine if he didn’t previously offer his daughter’s future to pay off Carly’s debt.
In the Tuesday, November 28 episode he told Scout a glowing, flowery story about how he and Sam bought the company and renamed it Aurora so Scout would have a legacy and business of her own to take over some day.
Nothing wrong there, right?
Well, let’s rewind a few months to when he told Carly he’d sell it to pay off her penalty for insider trading. Carly was the only one concerned about him doing so and Scout’s future while he brushed those concerns aside.
So he would’ve failed his daughter by giving away her legacy had Carly not been prideful enough to refuse. And then he threw himself on his sword for Carly because his daughter wasn’t used to seeing him anyway.
And of course, Sam and Scout don’t know about him wanting to sell Aurora for Carly. At least, that wasn’t discussed on cameras.

So while Drew is now trying to play super dad to his being a douche dad, Scout said she’d go to the school if he wants her to.
Meaning she’s more loyal to him than he is to her.
In ‘General Hospital’ eyes, he’s very close to a precipice he may not be able to recover from if he falls in, but will he be able to save himself or will Sam have to take legal action to do so?
