‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that star Maurice Benard shared a beautiful and touching speech that he made for his daughter Cailey on her graduation day. The actor posted a clip on his Instagram account. Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) Celebrates Incredibly Important Milestone!
Maurice captioned the post with, “One of the only things I regret in life is that I didn’t get the education I should have. But I feel I can live vicariously through my daughter Cailey who in my eyes just climbed Mount Everest!”
In the clip, the actor started off by saying, “I just want to say to my beautiful daughter, I am so proud of this accomplishment you don’t even know.”
Even though he was choked with emotion, Maurice went on to tell his daughter just how much she means to him and how proud she is of all her hard work. He said, “I am so, so proud. I can’t tell you. It’s so difficult for me to barely even graduate from high school. And you wanted to do this, you knew you were gonna do it, you were intelligent enough to do it, and you graduated. I can’t tell you how incredible it is, sweetheart.”
At the end of the clip, the father and daughter duo embraced in what was a very emotional moment between the two. A lot of Maurice’s fans commented on the clip with, “That’s wonderful!! Congratulations and wishing her continued success in her next chapter,” along with, “
Congratulations! I feeling this so much. My son graduated from college last month. It was a huge accomplishment and I lived vicariously through him. I barley made it through high school. I pushed education because of my own struggles. It is awesome to see our kids succeed.
Aww! We have a feeling that Cailey’s future is going to look very, very bright. Not only does she have a great support system with wonderful friends and family, but she’s also got a degree that will definitely help her in life one way or another. Congratulations Cailey on your accomplishments! We can’t wait to see what she will do next.
