‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest a few major secrets that must come out during February sweeps. GH has been moving full steam ever since the new team of head writers, Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten, and breakdown writer Cathy LePard, took over.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Cyrus Needs To Get Busted
There are three significant secrets currently affecting Port Charles residents right now. The most glaringly obvious one is the digitalis killer Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his angel-of-death-schtick.
So far, we’ve lost two central characters and almost a third. Twenty-year vet Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was the first one killed off the soap.
We still don’t know why Cyrus decided to murder Sam after she selflessly saved his niece, Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) life. He gave Sam a fatal dose of the heart drug digitalis, which caused cardiac arrest and, inevitably, death.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) got too close to the truth for Cyrus’s comfort. The good cop grilled Cyrus about his whereabouts on Halloween (The night he killed Sam). Cyrus didn’t want to take the chance to have Dex figure this out.
The villain stabbed Dex at Rice Plaza and finished the job at the hospital. He left his signature, as Dex also had a heart attack and died with digitalis in his system.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) almost suffered the same fate when Cyrus decided to put Michael out of his misery after Michael was severely burned in a fire at Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse.
Cyrus snuck into Michael’s room and injected his IV bag with digitalis. Thanks to some quick thinking from Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), he was able to save Michael.
Someone needs to stop this psychopath before he kills another beloved character, but something tells us it might not be that easy. The writers hinted that more deaths by digitalis would occur.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow Needs To Find Out Drew Slept With Her Mother A Lot
Drew Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) manipulation of Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) needs to stop. The quickest way to ensure the end of their romance is for the truth about Nina Reeves sleeping with Drew to come to light.
Willow should know the kind of man Drew is. If sleeping with her mother repeatedly and hitting the sheets with her doesn’t do the trick, we don’t know what will.
Drew and Willow’s relationship is frankly sickening to watch. We also fear that if Nina doesn’t tell Willow before someone else does, it will ruin the mother-daughter bond they have worked so hard to build.
The last doozy that should be addressed is the big reveal we all saw coming a mile away. Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) son. She had a relationship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) when they hooked up at summer camp as teenagers.
The massive rewrite was obviously a way to drive a wedge between Dante and Lulu. Also, it simultaneously causes conflict between happy newlyweds Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
We can think of a million ways the writers could have accomplished this without rewriting history, but truthfully, they might not care.
